Residents of the DeSoto, 215 W. 91st Street, were in high spirits Tuesday as they gathered to celebrate the 100th anniversary of their beautiful and gracious building. Built in 1917, the DeSoto was one of the many Upper West Side buildings designed by Schwartz & Gross. While the building is not landmarked, it has stood proudly on the corner of 91st Street and Broadway for a century and is as lovely as the day it was built. Here’s to 100 more years for the DeSoto!
