Inscription: The Tiles in this Exhibit are the product of the American Encaus Tiling Co. Limited/ Zainesville Ohio/ New York N.Y.

Description: Architects Heins & LaFarge experimented with different tiles and materials to be put in the 59th Street Station, however they were not approved and covered up. It was not until 2007 that the MTA was expanding the station that these experiments were discovered.
