Description:Â No. 333 is basically identical to No. 331 (described below), but still retains its decorative wrought iron railings at both the fifth floor and roof.
No. 331 Riverside Drive is now occupied by the American Buddhist Academy. This elegant brick and limestone house was designed by Janes & Leo as one of a group of three practically identical houses, of which two remain (Nos. 331 and 333). They were all built by Joseph A. Farley in 1901-02. In the rusticated first floor of No. 331, there is a garlanded entrance flanked by a window with grille and a service door. At the parlor floor three French windows crowned by “broken-arch”-pediments have arched transom bars. A heavy cornice supported on interestingly carved corbels separates the third and fourth floors.
